A gorgeous day and not enough wind (for sailing), means it was great opportunity to complete the ‘upper part’ of the Tarka Trail. from Meeth to Great Torrington and from there to Bideford and back. We were on our bikes for 4.5 hours pedalling pretty much non stop and covered 34M (56km) of woodland (with almost painfully bright, new green foliage) and riverside dotted with bluebells, garlic, red campions and even a buzzard or two.
