Boggy boggy Dartmoor

Sunday 11 Dec.2011. From Meldon reservoir to Black-A-Tor Copse. One of three surviving fragments of the upload oak forest which once covered Dartmoor, the other 2 being Wistman’s Wood  (here and here) and Piles Copse (Erme valley Nr. Ivybridge). Twisted Oaks, granite clitter all covered with moss nad lichens. I went on mt own to this magical, remote, silence part of Dartmoor (once far away from the A30)
